Part of choosing a wedding photographer is choosing the perfect people to spend one of the most special days of your life with. We will be with you through the nervous jitters, happy tears and excited little jig you do just before you leave for the night. We feel it’s very important to share with you as much about us as a individuals, as a couple and as artists as possible. So, I bring you, without future ado, a post all about Will and I.

As a couple:

We love to laugh. I think we unintentionally compete daily to come up with the most random, funny statement. We are almost never home. Traveling is one of our favorite things to do. We love art, visiting museums and staring at the sunset arm in arm. When we are home, we’re out hiking with the dogs or enjoying a glass of wine by the campfire. We cook together (our recent favorite book is “Mastering the Art of French Cooking“). We love going to the movies and sharing a giant tub of popcorn. We dance in the kitchen with no music on. We spoon with our dogs. We listen to music when we’re trying to be creative. We are a tad addicted to Mountain Dew. We hold hands in the car. We get excited when the mailman comes. We love spending time with our families and friends. We sometimes sit in the living room with no TV on and laugh uncontrollably at the dogs rough-housing.

As photographers:

Will is an artist. He loves style, movement, light, composition…creating art. He amazes me at each shoot with his way of making couples, families or kids feel at ease in front of his camera. He is awesome at getting the pose he wants without actually posing anyone. He plays with light and movement to get the perfect photo. He uploads the photos to the computer as soon as we get home, no matter how late it is, because he is too excited to see his favorite photos from the day.

Laurie: I am all about some romance. Passionate kisses, tight embraces, the little glances you occasionally send your new husbands way. I get giddy when I get to see passion flying out of your photo. I also love freezing moments in time. The tear running down your cheek during your daddy/daughter dance, the way your dress spins wildly out of control on the dance floor, your husband laughing so hard with his buddies that he’s bent over slapping a knee (That knee slapping thing really happens!).

We both love capturing photos that show feelings and emotions. We love becoming good friends with our couples. Getting to know you and adding your personality to your photos. We love going to weddings and being around all the laughter, love and happiness. It is our hobby, it is our passion, it is our love.
